Finally a NON-Christmas card! I'm so tired of green and red. This is for TGF 12 Days of Sketches #7. The DP is My Minds Eye Kiss & Tell. I tied the Fiesta Felt hearts with Stampin Up ribbon. 1 down, and 4 more sketches waiting. Uff-Da!
That makes it much harder to walk out of. I took down ALL my Christmas decorations. I couldn't take the clutter any longer. I may go to The Container Store tomorrow. I should stay away from that place, it's so pricey. I usually just get ideas but I'm after something specific tomorrow. I love all the organization stuff. I think I subconsciously want to have a house that looks like Martha Stewart's (that will never happen). I have 2 more challenges to work on and another will come out tomorrow, so hopefully I will get some play time also.

I was going to post this yesterday but when I looked at the pictures I took I had to redo them. This isn't much better, I think my eyeballs aren't level in my head, I can't seem to take a strait picture. This is sketch 6 of TFG 12 Day Challenge.
This is a very appropriate card for the weather we are having today. We have about 9 inches on the ground and a lot more coming. Good to not have to go anywhere tomorrow. We are having a quiet Christmas at home, we will likely go sledding at the park.

Another day, another sketch. TGF is keeping me busy with this challenge. Do you think I will make it to 12? We will have to see. At least I will have a head start on my cards for next Christmas. This is also my entry for Anyone 4 Anya's last card of the year challenge.
Day 3 of the 12 day challenge. Sorry for the short posts but I'm also trying to get 4 8X8 albums done by mid January. I'm up to Halloween but haven't done any of the journaling or titles yet. I'll have day 4 for you tomorrow, stay tuned.
This sketch is from TGF 12 Days of Sketches Day 2. I switched things up today and used my Prismacolor pencils. I used Doodlebug black glitter paper and metallic gold paper for a little bling. Then I added stickles to the dots on the ribbon in gold and black.

So here is my card for sketch 1. Luckily I have a few finished images left from projects. That will help with time. The DP is Basic Grey Eskimo kisses: snow globe & thin ice. The fur on the hat is liquid applique. Well, better go get to work on sketch 2.
Today was Addison's first school Christmas party. She dressed up and had her hair curled at Chez Beautay (that's our pretend salon). She was so excited to give her teachers their gifts. We had a great time decorating her gingerbread house. I have to admit I kind of took over the candy placement. This is the reason we don't do abrakadoodle class anymore, I can't control myself when it comes to craft projects. We finished the house and were admiring our work when I noticed the other kids houses. 
You see their mothers aren't OCD. They actually let their children decorate the house themselves. The Horror! They had huge piles of icing smeared everywhere and candy all over. Addison's house had a door with knob, windows, shingles with trim, and candy cane corners. Sorry Sis, your stuck with me. Some day you will do the same thing to your kids, it's genetic. 
I couldn't wait to use my new Mistletoe Snowhill stamp Amy sent me. Isn't she sweet? I'm kind of burnt out on Christmas so I decided to go a different direction with her. The berries on the mistletoe made me think of this Basic Grey paper I squired away months ago. The pearls are in two different colors and I added some stardust pen to give her wings some sparkle. Santa came early to my house yesterday. Look what I got in the mail! Well my Santa is the fabulously talented Amy (A thousand sheets of paper). She sent me a beautiful card and if that's not enough a goodie bag with some great paper, embellishments, and MISTLETOE SNOWHILL STAMP! I was jumping for joy. This is how my weekend went. All day Sunday Addison asked, "When are we going to see Santa?". Once we get there I stand in line while her father occupies her with popcorn. I finally make it to the front and call her over for her turn. She takes one look at Santa a FREAKS OUT! You would have thought he was holding bloody ax the way she flipped out. Like her shirt? Ya, she really loves Santa, can't you tell? So much for the Christmas card picture. I may not get my cards out until January at the rate.
My sister sent this to me, enjoy.
This is my first year to have teachers to buy gifts for. I never know what to do and worry about is it to little or to much. So I made note pads with matching gift card holders. The gift card template you can find here: 
Today I have a sneak peek at my Holiday ATC for Wendy's swap group. The stamp is Tim Holtz First Christmas. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to make the background paper (Peeled Paint, Frayed Burlap, Fired Brick). The poinsettia and leaves are from Hero Arts with a little Tim Holtz walnut stain Stickels in the center. I stitched the charm on with tread. 
This little sweetie is a 3 challenge combo.
So what's a Faux Frost Sketch? It's 3 challenges in one, of course.

Is it Monday already? What happened to the weekend? My husband is off work this week and my brother-in-law is visiting so I am completely off schedule. The boys are spend the week letterboxing and doing things around the house on bad weather days. The plan is to paint our master bedroom again. The last time they painted it the taupe color came out gray, so it looks like a prison cell. I can't believe it's time to pull out all the Christmas decorations already. The lights should go up on the outside of the house today. We are having Thanksgiving on Tuesday while they are at the house and the weather isn't so good. They don't want to waste a good weather day on Thursday. We went letterboxing Saturday in the sweetest little town called Scandia. It's the home of the first Swedish settlers in Minnesota. There are cute Swedish horses all over the town, Addison wanted her picture taken with all of them. On the way home we stopped in Forest Lake at a scrapbook store Memories and More. They have a great selection of Just Rite Stampers. If your near Roseville it's not to far away, so go check them out.
Look what came to live at my house! Isn't she adorable. She is just adorable, down to her pig tales. The fabulous Donna (Meme's Art Place) made her for me. Sweet Pea is my daughter if you were wondering. Donna is so talented. You may remember her from this post. She was just published in Somerset Studio Gallery Winter 2010 Magazine,on page 19.
